Barber Shop

Today we took Seth to get his 1st official big boy hair cut at a kid's salon called Cool Cuts. It was very kid friendly and Seth loved it...until the cutting started.

This weekend Seth went to his friend Hope's 2nd birthday party at Trinity Park. His other friend Ethan came too! He had his friends and he was outside...he was in heaven! There were lots of goodies to eat and of course cake...which Seth loved! At the end of the party we all got on the mini-train for a 45min. ride around the area...Seth LOVED every minute! Leigh (Hope's mom) passed out little whistles for them to blow while on the train! What a fun day!

Animal Farm

My friend Leigh and I took Hope and Seth to a petting zoo at the Burleson Library...yes the library! They had a small area in the shade with goats and then a walk-thru barn with a donkey, a pig, a turkey and one other animal I can't recall because we had to run out fast (I will explain later). Seth seemed pretty content to keep his distance from the goats, but Hope had no problem picking up hay and giving it to them! (Her grandma has farm animals!) I had to hold Seth most of the time....so up to the barn we go...and Seth is getting pretty anxious and his bottom lip is starting to stick out. And then....the turkey decides to gobble...loudly! Leigh and I both jump and Seth lets out a sad cry. I try to comfort him....the turkey gobbles again...and Seth loses it and we have to make a quick exit...whew! We laughed at the craziness of it all! We then made our way outside of the pen of animals to let the kids run around and play a little. Hope explored the dirt and Seth watched and laughed at her as he always does. Then....he runs around and trips onto the brick patio face first, I pick him....blood! His poor little nose is bleeding and his lip is busted up! I stay calm and find a rag to hold under his nose, all the while thinking to myself, 'I hope he didn't chip or lose a tooth!' He did not! (The last picture is of his poor little face). It was a fun and eventful morning and he ended up taking a great nap that day!

Puppy Love

These 2 go way back...about a year. Hope first came to see Seth when he was about a month old and she was about to be 6 months! Hope would end up being Seth's first friend! They would play together (more like side by side) just about every morning last summer...they loved it! And now look at them (in the 2nd and 3rd picture)! They now run around and make each other laugh! (Hope will be 2 at the end of June and Seth will be 2 in Nov!). As we were leaving from babysitting/playdate Hope and Seth gave each other a hug...super cute( see 2nd and 3rd picture!)

Uncle Stew and Aunt K come to TX

This whole week we kept telling Seth that his Uncle Stew and Aunt K (Kassie) were coming to see him...then we would show him their pictures and he would smile really big! He warmed up to them really fast and loved playing with them while they were here! peek-a-boo and chase with uncle Stew and walks and bathtimes with Aunt K. We also went to the Dallas World Aquarium and the Splash pad while they were here! We all had a big weekend!
