Midwestern Seminary Chapel

Spencer had the honor and privilege to preach at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City this week. He preached on the supremecy of Christ. Afterwards we had lunch with the provost (a good friend of Spencer's) and 3 deans of different departments. I could not be more proud to be his wife! February love and snow

Our first big snow of 2015! The last snow we really got was back in November, the week of Thanksgiving.  Considering the snowpocolypse we got last year here at the lake, I've been waiting and waiting for lots of snow.  But we went the whole month of January with no snow.  Weird! Here we are half way through February and we finally got some play-worthy snow! (about 3-5 inches). The boys loved it of course! Seth also had his preschool Valentine's party on Feb. 13th complete with a chocolate fountain to dip strawberries, bananas and marshmallows into! We have the best room moms this year!

Seth's 5th birthday

Wasn't this big guy just born?! And is he really going to be in Kindergarten this fall?! Seth is 5?! He loved waking up to balloons all over his bedroom floor! (Thanks Pintrest!) This guy loves school, his friends, family, playing outside, books, legos, ninja turtles, rescue bots.  He is slowing learning to sound out words and read during our reading time together.  He also prides himself in knowing how to write his name and draw stick figures! This room will look vastly different come March.  As He and Noah will start sharing a room! Seth is so excited! Seth also had a small birthday party at our church with his school and church friends.

Noah's 2nd birthday

Cannot believe our sweet Noah is 2! By now he's almost 2 1/2 but better late than never I guess.  He is talking so much and really showing his desire for independence.  He is also so lovey.  He loves hugs, cuddles, kisses, sitting in your lap, reading books, puzzles and more puzzles, and playing with Seth.  When he sits still long enough for TV he likes Blue's Clues, Daniel Tiger, and Bubble Guppies.  Noah had a fun, low key mickey mouse party with family and a few friends. It was still warm enough to play outside and have a few 2 yr old pictures taken.

I am slowly but surely trying to catch up on our blog as our schedule is starting to slow down a bit.
Our July was pretty crazy since Spencer was gone 2 out of the 4 weeks.  One week at youth camp in Kentucky and another week in Thailand on a mission trip.  We obviously tried to stay busy at the pool, with the sprinkler, at the park, or reading time.  We were so glad when he was home to stay!
